Attorney Tobin joined the firm in 2004. He has extensive experience in the preparation and trial of personal injury cases. Has been acknowledged as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer® in the area of Plaintiff Personal Injury since 2013 and was honored as a Rising Star by Massachusetts Super Lawyers® from 2010 to 2012.
Attorney Tobin specializes in developing complex product liability, construction accident, and motor vehicle cases. He also handles cases involving wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, negligent service of alcohol and wrongful termination/whistleblower. In addition, Attorney Tobin represents corporate clients in civil litigation matters. He also has experience representing individual clients in the probate courts and handles real estate transactions . Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Tobin was an associate at a well known Boston law firm that concentrated on high-end plaintiff personal injury cases.
Attorney Tobin co-authored the 2003 update of the chapter entitled, “Selected Federal Evidentiary Issues” in the MCLE legal manual, Federal Civil Practice in the 1st Cir. In 2007, Attorney Tobin was elected as the Chairperson of the national board for the New Lawyers Division of the Federal Bar Association and served on the Federal Bar Association’s National Board of Directors. Attorney Tobin was appointed to the Executive Board of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Federal Bar Association in 2008 and 2009. Attorney Tobin authored and has presented the program entitled “Expert Discovery in State-and Federal Courts: A Survival Guide.” Since 2012, Attorney Tobin has served as the attorney member of Medical Malpractice Tribunals in the Superior Courts of Suffolk and Norfolk Counties.
Attorney Tobin enjoys keeping abreast of emerging technology and applies his technical knowledge to effectively develop and present evidence in his cases. Outside of work, Attorney Tobin is a Jeep enthusiast who enjoys spending time on the Cape Cod National Sea Shore.
